A side mirror buying checklist
Small feature differences can change the part you need.
Match more than driver or passenger side
Confirm the exact application and side, then list your original mirror’s features. Power adjustment, heating, folding, a turn signal, camera, or blind-spot indicator may require different hardware and wiring. Compare the connector and manufacturer part number with the verified application data; a matching outer shell alone is insufficient.
Check finish and package contents
Read whether the assembly includes glass, the painted or unpainted cap, fasteners, and any electrical components. Confirm whether additional paint work is needed. Compare the installation requirements in the vehicle service information, especially if the mirror contains a camera or other driver-assistance equipment.
Your next step
Keep your vehicle details and original part number nearby. Review the vehicle owner’s manual and application-specific manufacturer information. For diagnosis or installation, consult a qualified technician.
